Here's my choices for the Wildcats All-Regional Teams:
Northeast:
Sam Bowie – Lebanon, PA
Pat Riley – Schenectady, NY
Jamal Mashburn – Bronx, NY
Wayne Turner – Boston, MA
Ed Davender – Brooklyn, NY
Midwest:
Dan Issel – Batavia, IL
Antoine Walker – Chicago, IL
Kevin Grevey – Hamilton, OH
Louie Dampier – Indianapolis, IN
Kyle Macy – Peru, IN
Southeast:
Cotton Nash – Lake Charles, LA
Kenny Walker – Roberta, GA
Rick Robey – New Orleans, LA
Tony Delk – Brownsville, TN
Jeff Sheppard – Peachtree City, GA
West:
Bob Burrow – Wells, TX
Tayshaun Prince – Compton, CA
Keleena Azubuike – Tulsa, OK
Jeff Brassow – Houston, TX
Chuck Hayes – Modesto, CA
The Midwest was the toughest region to pick out five players. I could have had five players from Illinois, five from Indiana and five from Ohio. I just thought this was an interesting exercise.
I was going to do a team from Kentucky, but I kept getting stuck trying to name only five players, so I gave up. :D
