Former Arizona guard J.P. Prince has decided to join the Tennessee basketball team and will begin classes at UT on Wednesday.
Prince will not be eligible to play until next season at mid-term. He visited the UT campus last week along with his family, and Tennessee informed him today that he had been admitted to the school.
Prince has 2 1/2 years of eligibility remaining but plans to petition the NCAA for a full third year. Prince, who played at White Station High School in Memphis, initially inquired about transferring to Vanderbilt, but hit a snag with Vanderbilt's admission office over transferring during the middle of the year.
