I love the way these Cat's are taking care of business...winning the games they are supposed to and I believe they will continue to do so thru the early part of the conference schedule.
My concern is that we as fans and the team will face some tough times come February with our schedule.I hope we can sweep thru the SEC but I'm very realistic about our chances against Florida, Tenn., LSU, & Bama. If we can go .500 thru these games we should be in good shape come tournament time.
I think ifthe teamstays positive and end the regular season at 23-7 or better, without any humiliating loses, we could make a serious run thru the SEC & NCAA tournaments.
Come NCAA tournament we don't have to beat all 64 teams...just the 6 we play.

This team is going to lose games in this league. It's inevitable. As long as they play hard and get something out of those games, they'll be fine.
I'm standing by my 11-5 SEC prediction. I still don't see these guys beating Florida either time, 'Bama is going to be a tough task down there, and you know Lofton is going to heat up for 30 or so against us in one of the UT games. And one more (Arkansas or Georgia on the road).
If it turns out like that -- especially if we protect our home court -- and if we have a good showing in Atlanta for the SEC Tourney, we'll still land a top 4 seed...and anything can happen from that point.
I'm not necessarily too worried about that gauntlet. Nobody in America could come through that unscathed...and I think the committee will take this into consideration on March 11th.

An 11-5 SEC mark is very realistic. I would be happy with that (happier if it were 16-0). I've been down on our lethargic offense, but the last three games, and especially last night, the offense had a lot of motion and good spacing. Also very good passing, especially interior.
Our rebounding was great, but it seemed SC was conceding alot of boards. The defense was smothering! SC seemed to be afraid to dribble-drive, something other teams do to us with success.
Honestly, I believe this team could be a real sleeper in the SEC. I'm picking us now to finish #2 in the east. (And to be slightly off topic: I also think LSU is going to flame out and finish #4 in the west.)

You are so right. Sorry about my post.
I am very unhappy and I need to snot about something this morning. To be honest last night we just plainsucked. We should have beaten this team by 70 points or more We need more hustle, better rebounding and Crawford needs to learn to shoot if he is going to remain a starter. Tubby needs to be fired because he called off the dogs. He can't coach beans anyway and we need to look for a replacement very soon.
This posting written tongue in cheek to make some "fans" feel better this moring.:shrug:

Let's beat a top 25 team before we get all giddy, that being said even in my pessimistic outlook, this group of kids appear to be a team and they seem to get it. I think 11 and 5 is a bit optimistic but if you put a couple of good wins in there v the floridas, LSU's, cough cough gag gag UT and Alabama's I don't see how we could complain much...I'm sure I will but realistically from what I thought we had at the beginning of the season it would be a step up.
