I felt that one of the reasons we weren't ranked was because we were winning games by such a small margin (6,5,7,3). Finally blowing out a team we should have might get some attention.

We will move up in the AP, but I believe the coaches will keep us down until we chalk up a big win.

FWIW, the computer rankings have us around #15 before last nights win at SC. I know how much you guys don't like computer rankings, but I find the computer rankings better predict outcomes than do thehuman polls.

I think we will make the next coaches poll and move up in the next AP poll. BUT we cannot loose a game before the next poll comes out!

The biggest thing about last night is not necessarily the fact that we blew the Gamecocks out.

It was the fact that people got to watch the game.

That was our first nationally televised game in nearly a month. The voters can only see the box score, and the box score doesn't tell you everything about a game. Last night, I guarantee some of those voters watched that game, and you know they were impressed.

As Kentucky win their ranking will rise. Just this week we have losses from:

#19 Clemson pounded by Carolina

#20 Notre Dame falls to Villanova

#21 Texas loses in a great game

#22 Tennessee loses to that bad Auburn team we beat by 27 points

#23 Va Tech loses to Florida State

Maryland also lost and is ranked in the other poll.

Kentucky needs to win on Saturday and should make a decent jump in the polls.
