The majority of you all probably tanked out right after the Kentucky game but if you decided to stay up and finish the Oklahoma St./Texas 3OTgame, you were treated to a great finish. What an epic battle! Games like that are what truely define college basketball. Kevin Durant and Mario Bogan were unbelievable. Imagine if Bogan was still at Florida? (transfered after his freshman season) Durant is a great player and will be a good pro but he is an example of what I was talking about in one of my earlier posts about recruiting. He isa superior athlete and scored 37 points, but Texas still lost. He will be gone after this year. How far do you seeTexas going this year? The answer is,not to the promise land.
Kentucky looked like a vintage Kentucky team last night. We put our footon their jugulars and never let go. Admirable performance by Tre Kelley. I like him and I think he represents what is good about the SEC.Joe Crawford is starting to emerge as the go to guy we recruited him for. I love how he gets so much elevation on his jump shot. He and Ramel have great touch which gives the majority of their shots a chance to go in. If Crawford continues to hit his jump shot on a regular basis watch out. He will have guys running to close out on him and he will go right around them. A complete offensive package.
I become more and more confident that Kentucky can run with Florida this year. Our defense gives us a chance to beat anybody. I'm still worried about the Noah matchup but if we close out on their perimeterguys I think we can take them. It's going to be an electric atmosphere come Febuary 10th. Kentucky as lost 4 straight to these guys and I'm taking a lot of heat down here. We need to rise up and show them we still run the show in the SEC. Florida is not the all powerful team that a lot of people are making them out to be. They are very good but they can be beat. Kentucky must be focused. I would love nothing more than witness a Kentucky victory in front of all my friends.
I've decided that no matter what happens the rest of the way I will be attending the game in Gainesville on March 4th wearing my Blue and White. I'm a soldier.
