SECOND HALF SEES UK SINK BELOW VANDY LOSS

ATHENS, Ga. - If someone here in Georgia happens to find a set of wheels this morning, please box them up and mail them to Memorial Coliseum, c.o.d.
Last night, Kentucky's wheels came off.
You didn't think it would be that way. Instead, you thought determining the winner of this UK-Georgia game at Stegeman Coliseum would have more to do with last Saturday than this Wednesday.
After all, it was Saturday when Kentucky had its 11-game win streak snapped by Vanderbilt, at Rupp, no less. The outcome produced the dreaded and inevitable players-only meeting.
It was Saturday when Georgia collapsed in the final four minutes in Tuscaloosa, blowing an 11-point lead and losing at the buzzer to Alabama on a controversial non-call. The heartbreaking result prompted the furious Bulldogs to fire off a DVD to the Southeastern Conference office in protest of the fellows in the striped shirts.
This prompted the questions: Which team would leave the past behind? Which team would be caught playing the last game again, and which would move on to the next?
