ok i said i wasn't going to post anymore....i'm posting, so sue me....i just couldn't hold back after last night...
all i could say last night was "i can't beleive we lost that game"...sure the sun came up this morning, i don't have a terminal illness, it's just a game, etc etc....
i was hoping tubby could turn it around from last year, and there's still 10 reg. season games left, there's time if they stop goofing off and GET IT DONE....tubby still has time left to prove he can pull this big blue ox out of the ditch and right the wrong....and i hope he does!
you see, that's what tubby gets paid the big bucks to do GET IT DONE!
and it's not getting done, 11 game win streak sure, wonderful!!!!! but the loss to Vandy AGAIN just blew me away...i was dumbstruck at that one....and remember Miss. State almost beat us at home...i was at that game....
y'know, everything at UK is setup for you to be successful....how is success measured?...different ways of course...but at UK it's those big rectangular blue sheets up in the rafters with the big white word "CHAMPIONS" on it...UK used to be a team that played for championships, hells bells we can't even beat Vandy at Rupp anymore....VANDY!!!....AT RUPP!!!!! you've got the $$$ at UK, the facilities, Rupp, the fan base although harsh and demanding, undyingly passionate...everything is setup at UK for you to put more banners up there....THAT'S THE IDEA...not to scrape by and hope to God in heaven we beat Vandy AT RUPP!!!! if you can't succeed at UK and/or slip, slip, slip....slip...into the chasm of mediocrity, then there's a problem
i wanted to reserve my opinion of Tubby til the end of this season and at that point make my final decision of his performance here at UK, but folks i've just about come to the conclusion that we STINK....
as said earlier, we've still got plenty of time to redeem our suckage at this point and i'm not calling for tubby's head or anything....but all i'm hearing are promises and excuses from the man in charge and not seeing any real changes on the court....dribble pass dribble pass for 30 seconds and then drop kick it up to the backboard....
yes, i have a life, but i've really been bugged by this today....UK is BECOMING the classic car that had hours and years and sweat and toil and tons of money spent on it, doing this and that, but now just sits in the garage with a bunch of dirt and cobwebs on it and everybody's just lost interest....
and folks THAT is prepostorous!!!!!
TUBBY, PLEASE MAKE LIARS OUT OF ALL THE NAYSAYERS!!!! PROVE US ALL WRONG....WE'D WELCOME IT...but if you've lost interest please move on....
