Guys if Duke had lost another game at Cameron the place would have spontaneously combusted. For the public safety something had to be done.
GO BIG BLUE!!!

LOL It's amazing how their clock operator always falls asleep at the end of close home games isn't it?? It has happened 3 TIMES in the past year alone....JUST TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE WHAT HAPPENED TO CLEMSON TONIGHT. There should seriously be something done about this, this is just rediculous. It's almost flat-out cheating IMO.
This is another example why dUKe is the most hated team in college basketball, BS like this. If I were a Clemson fan and were at that game, I would have jumped on the court and decked coach K in is ratty little face for celebrating a "win" like that.
And then on ESPN, aka: The dUKe Basketball Network, they say its just home-cookin and that's to be expected. Well, folks, being obviously and intentionally cheated out ofa gameshould never be expected or tolerated!

it was a joke and there should be repercussions in the ACC main office...the game should have gone to OT..

DURHAM, N.C. – Apparently it only takes six-tenths of a second to catch a ball at your ankles, look on either direction of you and hoist and a 3-pointer. At least that’s what the officials working the game said.
However, video replay indisputably shows that instead of 4.4 seconds left on the game clock following a tying 3-pointer by Tigers guard Vernon Hamilton, there should have been roughly 3.0 seconds on the clock.
But as is the case more times than not, the referees consciously or subconsciously helped out the Blue Devils with more time, which was just enough to have David McClure hit the game-winning layup and propel No. 10 Duke to the 68-66 victory over a disheartened No. 17 Clemson team Thursday night at Cameron Indoor Stadium.
“It all happened so fast,” Hamilton said. “I

DURHAM -- Mike Krzyzewski said it all with one word.
Striding past the frenzied student section just after David McClure had hit a buzzer-beating shot to lift No. 10 Duke to a 68-66 win over No. 19 Clemson, the Blue Devils coach stopped, raised both of his hands and the air and shouted.
Did he say "Whoooo!" in celebration? Or was it "Wheewwww!" in relief? Probably a little of both.
The Blue Devils (4-2 ACC, 17-3 overall) celebrated wildly after the win, knowing that it had played well enough to beat a strong Clemson (4-3, 18-3) team, while also aware that a little bit of luck had been involved, particularly on the last, fateful play.
"The basketball gods were good," Krzyzewski said. "They were good."

One other reason I can't stand Duke.

Duke gets far more than their share of calls. Just like the superstars in the NBA when shooting, just as long as it looks like it could be a foul, the refs call it. Shameful.
I hate Duke.

It's one thing to get the benefit of charge/block calls and fouls in general as sometimes they are bang bang plays and can't be reviewed. But how does one team get the benefit of not 1 but like 3 clock screwups in a single year WHEN THEY CAN LOOK ATHE MONITOR TO FIX IT? I mean I can't remember us or really anyone in the SEC having a major problem with a clock in the last 3 or so years, yet one team in the ACC, Duke, has had it 3 freaking times.

ESPN should have interviewed the score/clock keeper, even ESPN pointed out the mis justice which shocked me since duke is the UofESPN.....

Today they showed their clock vs ESPN clock. ESPN had like 2.6 seconds.

Good thing the prosecutor in the rape case stepped down or he'd have to indict the whole basketball team for stealing. ;)

Well, they did and they didnt IMO. During the game I dont recall seeing a replay of the clock and there was very little commentary on the timing issue. The worst part was not even the clock operator but the refs. Ican recall seeing 5-10 games in situations like this and they look at it several times and if the clock operater was wrong they will sometimes clock it on the replay. But they looked at it for 5 seconds and said, hey 4.4 sounds good. WHat a crock.

SNL should do a skit about 3 white basketball players from Duke being arrested forraping a black coach from Clemson. That would be hilariousfor multiple reasons.

Yeah...that was just sad! If I was a Clemson fan I would be in an uproar about that! Heck...the NCAA should be in an uproar about that!
Home cooking smells great doesn't it?! The sad part is...we don't even get home cooking at home!

This is very true. Situations such as these have to be taken care of proactively. When Virginia Tech beat Duke earlier this season it almost caused a catastrophe of mammoth proportions. I am certain the government got involved to ensure this doesn't happen again!!!
