There has been a lot of talk on Catspause and other sites of booing going on come Sunday. One guy made the satement that he is sitting two rows behind the bench and plans on getting kicked out by halftime for the things he is going to say to Tubby. Whats that going to accomplish?
I undersand the dissatisfaction and feel the same way but booing will do no good, only harm. Mitch knows the fans are unhappy, I am sure he gets plenty of emails and such letting him know. Marshall Moses and Stephone Pettigrew will be at the game Sunday and Moses plans on making his decision after this visit between UK and OSU. Now, if you made two college visits, one where the students surrounding the court were electric and another where the fans were booing the coach and team where would you want to go? Just my 2 cents. I will be there cheering my head off. One, because I love Uk even though Im not happy with Tubby, and two because I despise Tenn and Pearl.

I know what you mean!!! I've been trying to get on TCP today to start a thread about it. I was going to ask the people who are dead set on booing and screaming things at Tubby to hold off for one game. I'm not asking them to cheer for the man but Moses said himself that he wanted to see what the fans did!
If pat goes somewhere else we HAVE to have both Moses and Pettigrew! If our fans boo and scream bad things at Tubbyon the day that both are there we will lose both.
And as far as that one guy who is going to get kicked out of the game goes...He will prob be very close if not right next to Moses and Pettigrew!

I'm going with my father Sunday and we haven't been to a game at Rupp together in 25 years. I plan on standing and cheering our boys on all day. My big mouth should be able to drown out the boos..lol

IMO, if you plan on being "kicked out" of a game that's played by kids, you have bigger problems than being a fan of a mediocre basketball team.

Cheer at the game anyway, booing your own in heinous no matter what your opinion is of the coach or team. YOU DO NOT BOO YOUR OWN!!!!! EVER!!!!!

To the fans that plan on booing, I say that is wrong on every level! And if you would think about it rationally, you would realize how wrong it is.:X

That Guy should not be allowed back in Rupp
I don't care what anyone says, to me, doing something like that goes against everything that has to do with being a fan of a program. I agree, anybody that would do something like that has much bigger issues.

What a sick, sad, little man. This is no way for a fan to behave. No excuse. I'm as frustrated with Tubby as the next fan, but this is no way for a "fan" to show it.

I say there is no way that guy boo's Tubby that close. Most (not all) people that kill Tubby on these boards, would probably wet themselves at the sight of him. It's alot different to come on here and other board's and say stuff about Tubby then if you were to meet him face to face. All he would have to do is give that stare he gives the players and it would be code brown city. :lol:For some anyway... ok... maybe I exagerated just a little but nonetheless you get my point.

 I wishI knew what the heck was going on with this "recruitment". If I were a bettin' man, I'd say he's Oklahoma State's.

They better have one hell of an excuse.
I'm sure it was uber important.

I'm assuming his visit to Ok. State was an "official" visit. If he's eligible to take an official there, wouldn't he also be eligible for an official here? Or are the rules different in the SEC? I have no clue.
I'm at a loss right now. :?

If I were betting, I'd say academics and that he'll not be at anyD-1 school to start.

He should want to leave if this continues. He is in the process of turning a once proud program into a mediocre and painfully boring program.
I still support the cats...but unless Tubby makes some magic happen...and that starts on sunday..then I'm through with supporting him.

Absolutely. Too, that's both sad and sickening. :(:(
I'm not going to call this team a "mediocre" basketball team, though. Sure, we're not ranked right now, but our RPI and Sagarin ratings are far from "mediocre," although certainly disappointing by Kentucky standards. We were so close to beating UCLA, Vandy, and Georgia and would be highly ranked IF ONLY we had won those games. We didn't, though, so maybe we can be technically called "mediocre," but only temporarily, I hope.
How we have played part of the time has been quite impressive, andcomparisons betweenhow we have competed against other SEC teams and how some of the more highly rated SEC teams have competed, we do not appear mediocre.
The word that I and others kept using yesterday was INCONSISTENT. Sure, that's not acceptable and must change for us to get back to where we want to be.
Anyone's meanwhile booing Tubby at a game played by UK basketball players is, again, so sad and just sickening. Even reading about fans' saying that they are going to behave that classless way just makes me feel sick to my stomach. Ones of us who are fortunate to get to go the game must cheer louder than ever and help to drown out the boos. That's all I know to say or to do. GO CATS!

Nobody has to ask or tell me to cheer at a game. Goodness gracious! I go to games to cheer my team on. If people are actually going to a game with some other agenda, they need help. If you aren't happy with the direction of the program or the coach, there are much more effective ways to voice your displeasure. Raining boos on your team does NOTHING to help the situation.
I will be there on Sunday cheering my head off! GO CATS! :wildcatface

I know that we were, and, thankfully, lots of other Cat fans were doing the same. Most thankfully, I heard NO boos. :D
