Need help regarding messages...

Every time someone responds to a thread I started I get these messages in my non-site email box telling me a response has come in.


I dont need those and dont want those. I'm getting tired of having to delete them. Iwent to my "preferences" place and TURNED OFF the option that sends those...but they are still coming.


What am I doing wrong?

The threads that you were already receiving them on will continue to get the emails. You can go to "My Account" and then select the "Watched Topics" tab to turn that off.

Hi Dan -

My problem is the opposite!

I went to preferences in my account, and checked the top box; to notify me via email (if there are responses to a thread I have posted on)

then clicked "save", but it remains unchecked!

I tried twice.

I did this after noticing I wasn't getting emails lately...took me about 2 weeks....oh well, slow-to-learn, I guess!:shrug:

Lol... sorry...I didn't realize it would manifest itself that particular way, but I turned those off to keep the bandwidth and server processing down to a minimum during the rush time when we kept crashing the server. Bad news is itmay notsend those emails out anymore, good news is that the server is staying up and running.

I think it's also affecting pic posting....

What do you mean? It shouldn't be messing with the pictures at all.

When I go back on the threads, I'm seeing some red "x's"....

In at least one case, I edited and reposted the pic, but it came up blank...
