honestly i think it would be hard to go wrong with alot of our all-americans... what do you think?

I never saw Bill Spivey, but wasn't he one of the best ever? And what about Ralph Beard and Alex Groza? From the players I've seen, I'd have to include Cotton Nash and Dan Issel. JohnnyCox was another greatone, but I barely remember seeing him play.
There are too many for me to name just 5, especially considering there are a lot I've never seen.

I only picked the players that I have seen play. Just think how great Dampier would be considered, had the three point shot been in college ball during his day.
Yes, I have slighted the legends of the past. Who knows how they would stack up against the players of today? But, I have seen video footage of old Rupp teams, that showed the cats scoring on fast breaks, without the ball ever being dribbled. It was poetry in motion. I would love to see that kind of crisp passing and execution in todays b-ball teams.

I just went with the players I had seen in my lifetime, as well. I hear that Louie Dampier could shoot the eyes out of it all night long.

I can't believe I am leaving off Dan Issel, Sam Bowie, Alex Groza, Tony Delkand Ralph Beard. How can that be?
I am picking them based on how they performed in the era they played. Bill Spivey was the most tragic person in UK history. He got a raw deal in life.

IMHO, Prince is a better pro player than he was a college player. That is why I wouldn't include him in my best ever. He seemed to disappear from games, occasionally
