It doesn't matter to me. He has said so much garbage.......I just don't believe anything he says anymore.

He said the towels weren't crisp enough and he was looking to make changes in the towel rotation duties.....

"Turnovers and everything else hurt us in this game," Smith said. "We're trying find a way to win some of these games. We have a tendency to dig ourselves a hole and then we battle our way back and don't play with the intelligence that we need to play with in clutch situations."
This sounds like a replay of the last three games.

“I didn’t think we were very aggressive at both ends of the court, both offensively and defensively, to start the game,” coach Tubby Smith said. “And I don’t know when they’re going to get it. We’ll just keep working at it until they do.”
Smith said that he’ll try to help his team through the power of positive thinking.
“We’ve got to be concerned about where we are mentally and try to keep our guys pumped up and let them know that we are better than this,” he said. “There’s still a few games left in the regular season, and we’ve got a lot more games to play.”

He is still doing the changes in the program that he promised after last year UConn game.

He hired a strength coach and ran off Rondo, you expected more changes? <sarcasm off>

What Tubby says after a game means nothing. Hot air by a man out of touch with the reality of the situation HE created.

"We try to do a good job of keeping it under 15 losses a year" said Coach Smith, after getting kicked in the teeth by Bama Saturday afternoon. "If we continue to do that then we're better than most of the other teams in the country. I figured after our recent runs in the NCAA tournament we should make the move over to the NIT bracket and see how we fare there. UK deserves to hang another banner. What difference do the initials make anyway?"

Can you imagine the hot air that came from the bench with Tubby and Pitino on the bench?

I wouldn't put too much into what ANY coach on a hot seat has to say. It's about like trying to get a straight answer out of a politician.
Either way hopefully these losses will shake the right people up and get things headed in the right direction. If they show up fora whole game, they could be a very dangerous team. Everyone has to be able to see that. However, they don't seem to be able to play for 40 minutes.

It might not mean anything to you, but it might to others. What are you doing, looking for every possible way there is to get a dig at Tubby. The guy asked a question about what was discussed after the game that he apparently has an interest in, Not for your opinion, or for your bashing or sarcasm or anything else.
As for your question BBL, no I didn't get a chance to hear it either and was coming here to find out myself. Sorry for the above post.

Thanks Shim.
Listen... I am in no way comparing this too anything that goes bad with this country. Because I know it's just a game and all that. But, it is in a way kinda like that for me. The american people would look to the president for leadership and guidence through tough times, I'm gonna look to Tubby for leadership and guidence through these tough times for wildcat nation. Because ultimately, they are the one's responsible. (Please dont turn this into anything political)
Tubby is the one that is going to be held accountable if we tank on this year, so I wanted to see what he had to say to fix things and keep his job. I wanted to see what direction we were gonna go in after these 3 losses, because I feel like Ihave a stake in Kentucky Basketball, we all do. It wouldnt make you so angry if you didnt. (dang I didnt think I was gonna have to go this deep on a sunday morning on wildcat nation:))
But thanks to all who answered my question. Go Cats!!!!!

Have you ever listened to Smith after a game? I was being nice- his after game talk is usually a bunch of incoherent jibberish.
It is pretty hard to follow the guy, he is everywhere. I have never understood that part of Tubby.

it upsets me to see a board that is usually filled with insightful debate and commentary be reduced to childish name calling so easily. If you don't like the coach, by all means discuss why/who/how we do it, but this is getting pathetic. Why even post?

Being serious here: do you think he has the same troublewhen talking torecruits as he does responding to questions on his show??
I don't think so. I think he just has so much going on, so much he wants to talk about, just doesn't have the time to tell it all, he just lets it all come out like that.
