After the game yesterdayI was left wondering why so much responsibility is given to the assistants during the timeouts, it seems Hobbs was doing the x and o's and Tubby was trying to motivate at the end of it, so I watched some other games through the night..is it me or does every Head coach seem to have control of these situations, and when they adjust, it seems there is a completely different look than the previous? What I am driving at is there seems to be some creative things going on in the world of game management, I dont get that feeling from us in an offensive structure, if you are to lead the troops shouldnt you be the one who calls the shots? I can no longer accept the argument that the assistants handle the scouting mainly because in the later stages of the game, adjustments are made and the original reports are out the window, who is running this team and who is the genius behind our offenses? and can someone tell me why we can't come up with a motion offense that doesnt include standing, and finally who ever teahes the art of setting a screen in this program, needs to have a new assignment. I really am not trying to be critical but at some point he needs an argument, not yes men:shrug:

Madiblue...your observations are on the money. I have made it a point to watch huddles the past few days and all of the head coaches I saw, ran the show. Tubby does defer a lot to Hobbs.

And that is a bad thing....probably why we are losing...I'm sorry but Hobbs must go.

I don't know if it's a good thing or bad thing just an observation.

Another just a thought...Tubby can coach this game, i just think he needs an argument from his staff, look what it did for Florida, He is a good Ambasador to the program, he does it the right way, before we replace him (or talk about it) let him surround himself with some energy, recruiters, basketball minds, let them mesh and then we shall see what he is about...there are a lot of trash out there and I am afraid of who we might bring in, rather than replace the car..lets see if a tune up is all we need:shrug:

A chance? People have been begging him for years to do something with the staff and he decided firmly after last seasonno changes were required. That means IT IS ALL ON HIM.
Look at what kind of infussion you think is needed there. It's like we need to take everything away from him so he can focus on being a beloved figure head.
Seriously, do we need to hire someone to wipe his behind as well or can he handle that?
A tune up does not entail replacing the majority of the parts in the vehicle. This is way past some plugs and cables.
