I know you are not supposed to look ahead but...
We have two very winnable SEC games coming up vs. Auburn (at Rupp) and Ole Miss (on the road), which would leave the Cats 4-1 in SEC play. That would be by far their best start since at least the time Noah took two wildcats onto the ark, thus insuring the greatest college basketball program on the planet would have a suitable mascot!
We would then head into the Tennessee game (January 26 in Rupp) no worse than second behind the Vols and probably ranked close to or in the top 25 nationally. If all this plays out - and a lot has to go our way for that to happen - then thiswould likelybe the biggest regular season game for the UK women in 25 or so years. We would get some national attention and, by playing in Rupp, possibly set the all-time attendance mark for a UK women's game.
Of course, all this is predicated on the premise that I be the one doing all this looking ahead stuff while the team and coaches focus only on the next game. But, hey, that's what's great about being a fan!If it does all play out then UK Hoops is going to get pretty exciting around here!
