It was a great game today and Im excited that we won but thats not why im posting this. I am tired of everyone talking about Tubby needing to get fired and who is going to replace him next year. Why do you all think he is such a terrible coach? I understand that we got swept by Vandy and I understand that weve lost to Florida 6 times in a row so dont throw those two things at me. But lets look at the big picture here for a minute. I know all the answers to these questions I just want someone else to look them up and post them. When was the last time Kentucky did not make the NCAA tourney? How many 20 win seasons has Tubby had at UK? How many other coaches have had that many 20 win seasons in the past 10 years? How many other SEC coahces have a national title? All of this talk about fire Tubby is insane. Then I know you will bring up recruiting. Ok i agree that we had a terrible year when we had Jared Carter because hes the only one there but when else have we had a terrible recruiting year? You cant say that this years freshmen arent good. The junior class was the number 1 class when they came in. You look at guys like Chuck Hayes Keith Bogans Cliff Hawkins Kelenna Azubuike Gerald Fitch and Tayshaun Prince just to name a few. All of those guys and in the NBA with the exception of Cliff Hawkins. In the last 10 years how many schools have sent more guys to the NBA than Kentucky who ACTUALLY GET PLAYING TIME? I bet its not many. So as a true fan, get off of Tubby's back and stop blaming everything on him. Any team in the nation would kill to have a coach with the resume of Tubbys and WE are ready to kill because we havent won a national title lately. Our time will come I promise, just support your players AND coaches until it gets here.

I really love your enthusiasm, and I think you make some valid points. I for one am waiting to pass judgement on the coach until after the season is over. I think that is the rational think to do here... I am rooting like crazy for OTS, and I hope he turns it around. At the same time, I can understand why there is a bit of uproar over the program. Are some out of line due to their expectations? Yes.

The bottom line is, I think that it is important for UK to continue to achieve excellence in all of their programs. We will see how that turns out this season. We are 7-8 consecutive wins away from great status again. Lets withold judgement until after the season.

I don't mean to begrudge anyone an opinion, but could we hold off on this stuff until after the season? This is tournament time and the team needs our undivided support, not distractions.
