Naturally, I haven't given up on our getting to a Final Four THIS season. However, I just wanted to share that they were discussing on the WLAP show after the game that they felt (Dick Gabriel, Cameron Mills, and someone else) that UK could certainly go to a Final Four next season if Morris stays (which they think could happen, as the offer would have to be right for Morris to leave) and EITHER Patterson or Lucas joins this team. Anyway, I happen to agree, and I just thought I would share that positive thought on a HAPPY night (or rather early morning). :)GO CATS!!!

Hmmm. If you look carefully, you will see that EIGHT of our losses this season (several of which were essentially one-possession games), you'll see that the teams have already made it to the Sweet Sixteen, and some will likely be advancing farther. In other words, while we did NOT come throughand win those games, we were veryclose to being a highly ranked team with a high seed in the Big Dance.Too, goodness, we're not even out of the Big Dance yet this year, as far as I know. :)

So especially if Morris returns and Patterson and Lucas also join the returning players, which should include Jared Carter, I agree with them that the Cats could WELL make it to the Final Four next season. :)Too,while I don't know about any of them, of course, I myself have not been drug-tested lately. No one has previously seen the need. :lol:GO CATS! BEAT THE JAYHAWKS!

If Morris stays and only Lucas comes, then Perry Stevenson's going to need A LOT of work in the off-season. If Morris stays and only Patterson comes, then Derrick Jasper's going to need A LOT of work in the off-season.

So this team, these players, are going to have to dedicate themselves to working hard in the off-season. All of them, from Ramon Harris on down to Joe Crawford.

But you'd think we'd be a top 15 team. We'll have 80%-85% of our offense returning, probably.

We need to get better at shooting the ball from three point land. Ohio State is a great 3 point shooting team,I wish we were like that.

GO CATS!!!

I'm optimistic but... I really do believe we need Patterson and Lucas, then I'd feel very good.

Unless we get Patterson, Lucas, and Morris decides to come back, we won't make the tournament.

If all 3 of those things happen, those players still have to have the proper coaching.

Well, I guess I had better go back to listening to Cameron, Kyle, and the many others who still have the faith. :)By the way, I agree that we BADLY need some more players. Having said that, yes, I think we can adda couple of moreplayers,a healthy and further developed Jared Carter, and a year of much needed development to some of our freshmen, which Will so accurately mentioned, and we can have a good chance of being a top team next season. Naturally, keeping Randolph Morris as a Cat is a big part of the equation.

I'm listening to the network postgame. Mike Pratt also thinks we can be EXTREMELY TOUGH next season withdevelopment of some ofthe freshmen AND the addition of a couple of more guys in recruiting (obviously Patterson and Lucas). Goodness though, none of these guys know a thing. (SARCASM). They have only played as UK basketball players themselves. :)GO CATS in 2007/2008!

If Morris comes back and we get both Lucas and Patterson, and no one else leaves we can have a decent UK type season-top 10-15 and an Elite 8.

If Morris comes back but we miss both our big targets we'll lose 8-11 games but probably be a little better, on experience and hopefully something out of the projectish freshmen.

If Morris leaves and we sign neither Lucas or Patterson we will not make the NCAA's and will flirt with .500 hard.

We are not within almost any two players everof having a championship caliber team, especially playing this offense.

We have three two guards and a center. That's it and of the two's only Meeks is top shelf as an athlete and a player. We lose that center and Patterson and Lucas are being asked to be Stockton and Malone in their heyday.

The roster is hugely mismanaged. We don't get offense from the defense, nor is the offense effective on anywhere near a consistent basis.

With a new coach, I would very much expect us to contend for a final four. With tubby, no way! tubby will never get to another final four in his career. Not here, not anywhere else.

I've been saying that since 2000 and I will continue to say it. It's the gospel truth.

When the guy was about five seconds from the Final Four just two years ago, that statement makes no sense.

Let me get this straight.UK gets rid of Tubby and hires a new coach.Morris goes to the NBA. Lucas nor Patterson signs with UK. It's the gospel truth that UK goes to the FF next year? :?

Forget seconds; Tubby is nine years and counting from the Final Four.
