Duke versus VCU: post game observations

I don't like Duke anymore than any other UK fan, and believe me, the site of Coach K walking off the court in utter disgust was great.

However, regardless of what I or anyone else think of them, there is a style and quality of player you expect to see put on the Duke uniform,but in all honesty, I can't remember a group of players that DIDN'T fit the mold of a Blue Devil player as this season's group. I mean, in the past, when Battier, Reddick, Langdon, etc., where in their first year, you could just tell by the way they carried themselves and their physical makeup that they were going to be great players. I just don't see it with this group.

I know those young men gave it their best shot and I'm not trying to kick them when their down. It's just an observation. They may finish their careers being GREAT players but right now they're not even close.

Did anyone else pick up on this?

I hear what your saying. I do have to say though that it was pretty sweet having them lose with Laetner in the stands. What is weird, is that with 1.8 seconds left of the game, the announcers talked about the shot of 1992, and I had just finished telling my girls about that game.
