This kid is going to my alma mater...South Oldhma High School and is supposed to be the state's (Kentucky) best in the class of 2009, according to kentuckypreps.com. I want to see Tubby Smith recruit this kid if he really shows him and us something by at least his sophomore or junior year...Does anyone else have anymore info on him?

I know Jenkins from AAU and I have heard from different sources that Jenkins is getting the attention of serveral D1 colleges. A high school freshman can only get letters but was told that some included Wisconsin, Western Kentucky, Illinois, and some others. Not sure about UK though.

Rivals only has up to 2008 at this point so its too soon to find out how much interest there is in the kid unless you know him personally and/or glean that info from a local newspaper.

Tubby could recruit him to play PF and then hope he grows another 6 inches before he's 18.

Won't play PF, but will be D1 level 2G. He is already being followed by some major programs in conferences such as the SEC, Big 10, and Big East. If he keeps the pace of development, he will be a tremendous talent in 3 years.

Here is link in the Rivals.com rankings with Jenkins listed.

Got a chance to see Jacob Jenkins play a couple of games here in South Carolina. He certainly had the scouts and coaches attention. Saw one game where he put up nearly 40 points on one of the top east coast programs around. He is definately one of the top players in the 2009 class. Can anyone tell me what high school he will be attending in the upcoming year?

I think its funny that your signature is: "If a million people say a foolish thing, it's still a foolish thing."
