If Micki DeMoss has turned you on to Women's Basketball, you don't want to miss this one on ESPN2 at 7:30 pm tonight. Duke could be the new #1. Could be another UConn year with Men's and Women's as #1 if Duke beats UT tonight and the men work their way back to #1. They probably will.

*lol* Well, Micki DeMoss did turn me on to Women's Basketball but it was when she was an assistant coach at UT along with Pat Summitt. *lol* But the game tonight should be a great game as well. And if it's going to be another men's and women's same NC winner, then I would have to go with Duke before UCONN. But we already know by my standards and my posts I said UK will win the NC this year. So, that rules out the Duke guys winning the NC. *lol*

Duke Womensmashed UT Womeninto the ground. They won by so many points I couldn't subtract that much. I admire Pat Summit so much, but this team looked like they had no coach at all. No structured offense and no structureddefense. The gamelooked like a replay of the UK/Kansas Men's game this year. There's no doubt that Candace Parker was the best basketball player on the floor, but she has no fight in her. Things are so easy for her that she is laid back. I don't think I ever saw her hustle for a rebound or a steal. I see that the loss of UT's point guard is more serious than I thought. They were lost on offense. There's no leader. Candace Parker comes off very mature, but I doubt if the upperclassmen(women) will recognize her as a leader this year since she's only a freshman. Pitiful. They'll still be good in March, but like our Men, they have a lot to correct. I can't wait until we play them.

It will be interesting to see what frame of mind UT has coming into Rupp Thursday after getting embarassed on national TV. Will they still be shellshocked or will they be like angry bees and take out there anger on the Cats? My guess is this loss against Duke will still be lingering so we might not get their best. At least I'm wishin' & hopin'!

Well, they're still a great team. They came back from 14 down against Vandy a couple of days ago to win the game by about 15 points. They've beat a fewTop 25 Teams already this year. They'll probably be "shellshocked" as you say, but with those women it will have a positive affect. They weren't impressive against Vandy a couple of days ago, but they still won. They looked about the same tonight, but Duke was not going to let them win. They don't have a point guard. She quit the team. They'll get it togetherif they just find a leader.

I watched some of the game and the part I watched they did a "Wired" section where they have somebody mic up and it was Pat Summitt. During a timeout, she told her team "that they aren't showing any heart or fight in them on the defensive end of the court and if they want to get back into the game, they need to start showing it. If you don't, I don't care if you get embarrass tonight or not." Apparently, the team decided not to show any hear or fight in them and they got embarrassed!
