I can't remember how far behind us they are, but if we end up with a couple or even three 10 to 15 loss seasons with the new coach coming in is there a chance that they pass us. They do not look to be slowing down at all and with with them winning 30 to 35 games a year and us barely getting 19 or 20 it may be a possibility.

It's silly to think that we'll be averaging 19 to 20 a year in the long run, and even sillier to suppose that UNC will average 30 to 35 over the long run as well.
According to Wikipedia, they're 43 wins behind us. So even if they win 5 more a year (a LOT), it'll still take them 10 years.

If I am not mistaken until the Guthridge and Daugherty years North Carolina was almost even with us.

During the Pitino early years they had actually passed up and Pitino passed them back and then built a decent lead. Then Doh helped us out with a bigger lead.
