You have seen the beginning of Lady Cat basketball as a premier basketball program. This will not be like Kentucky Football where you could lose a Coach of DeMoss' stature. The money and thecommitment were put in place for Coach DeMoss to accept this job and she has built this program up in a way you always hope for in football (significant improvement in year three). She will be our Pat Summitt. A woman who leaves her prints all over this program and not a flash in the pan who left for a better job. This job will be every bit as enticing when you have 13,000 plus there in year three.
For all of this I want to thank the man I commonly bash all football season.

Thank you sir for the commitment to make Lady Cat Basketball something that a woman like Coach DeMoss couldn't turn down. Without a doubt his most significant contribution to this Univeristy (on the "field of play") thus far.

I will second that...and not just tonight....the Lady Cats have been drawing in fans at every game......I was at the UL game in Rupp and there were 10,000 at that game

Why can't you just give these Hoopsters the credit they richly deserve withoutdissing the UK football program? Brooks is building a solid foundation as you suggest must happen so leave them out of it.
BTW - Great win for these gals and I'm sorry I didn't believe enough in them to make the trip.

RV, you are being a little too sensitive. It wasn't a Brooks bash. If it was meant to be one, I would have mentioned his name.
My point was in year three of a coaching change is when we start to see the "direction" of the program. Lady Cat BBall is going up. It is my personal hope that anytime we have a coaching change that you see that big jump in wins for year three. It doesn't have to be yours. Brooks may have made that move up with this recruiting class. It just wasn't "on the field"...yet. Due to probation and scholarships, it's understandable. I have a good vibe about 06 Football Cats.
Frankly, your tone irritates me. I can compare whatever the hell I want to.
The more I think about it, you are a hypocrite. You criticize anyone who questions the football program, you attack anyone who contemplates no longer being a season ticket holder. Yet, you make the statement about the girls ("sorry I didn't believe enough in them to make the trip"). So, they were only worth the trip if you thought they'd win? You couldn't go and be supportive? How's that different from a long time season ticket holder who has become frustrated with the results?
Ye without sin RV!

If I had known sooner I would have called DA. It was an 11th hour decision. I'd like to say that I "sensed" we'd pull off the big upset but after the Duke game; I thought we'd likely lose. Just knew it would be a good game, knew I'd want to be a part of the atmosphere (which was fantastic), and wanted to see Parker in person. She's the real deal. She gets to the rim like Cheryl Miller used to.
Lady Cat Basketball is a great time.

Not true, but I dotake to taskthose that appear to be negative for negative's sake.

Pot-kettle.
I will not reply furtheron this threadas this discussion should be on the football board and I don't wish to take anything away from the outstanding performance and win of our young Hoopsters.

What do you mean by "Pot-Kettle?"
I thought they'd lose and went to the game anyway. That's nothing close to Pot-Kettle. I didn't need to feel they'd win to go. I went to the game for no other reason to support a team that plays to a level and is coached to a level to merit my respect. I've never gone to any UK Sporting Event based on whether or not they would win or lose.
Psycho....RV made this a football discussion based on one friggin sentence in a post about the Lady Cats.
I'm done with it....moving on.
