Does anyone remember this commercial? It displayed some new technology and I cannot find it.

The worker fell of a billboard ledge and just before he hit the ground his vest acted like an airbag and kept him from any injury.

Do you know what the commercial was for? any info would be helpful...

I have looked on youtube and couldnt find anything.

It's a commercial for an insurance company.I'm thinking GEICO.

It isnt a car commercial. The guy is some sort of construction worker and accidentally slips. It is only a 4-5 second clip of the commercial, but it may leed to new developments in fall protection on the construction site.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

"It isnt a car commercial."

That may be why the commercial didn't feature the gecko or cavemen. It's a rare insurance company that only does cars. I'm not sure it was GEICO, but I remember it was an insurance company commercial that has another ad campaign more identified with it. I'm not at all sure that the technology that saved the falling workman actually exists, either. They were like airbags, but with no impact to cause them to inflate. The question in my mind was, how would they know toinflate without a crash?

I also doubt that the technology exists, but the idea exists. Current air bag technology is based on rapid deccelaration and sudden impact. If the idea was used in conjunction with a parachute pull system, it may be effective. Historically, falls are the most often death related incidents on construction sites and there is constant effort to decrease that statistic.

I'll look into the insurance and car commercials, but it is such a short clip it may be hard to sift through it all.

Thanks for your help.

I remember seeing that commercial during the Super Bowl time frame. The construction worker fell from the scaffolding and landed safely because he was wearing an inflatable vest.

It wasn't on during the SB, but I have seen it recently. Company was touting its technology or products....like ADM or someone.

I've been looking all this time - losing sleep over it, toiling over it, letting it consume my every fiber of being.

Not really. I saw it Sunday night during the Eagles Patriots football game and it jogged my memory. I had to make mental note of the Zurich Financial so as not to forget it.

I thought you meant this disturbing Canadian safety PSA, which I find hilarious for some perverse reason, along with the others of its ilk.
