The good news is that UK is in someone's preseason top 25 poll. I LOVE it! :)

The bad news is that SEVEN of our twelve opponents are ranked above us in that same poll. That is simply UNREAL. Based merely on this poll, UK must not only win all the games in which it is favored here,but alsoeither upset a ranked team on the road OR pull off a victory over a team ranked in the top 15 to get to a bowl game this season. Our schedule is thus ridiculously stuff, no doubt about it.

Yes, of course, I expect to do just that. However, this poll surely makes me realize how cognizant our players must be about what they are facing. It will be much more difficult to get there this season, and the dedication and focus must be going on NOW (and that's for all of our players, and a few have obviously not been doing that :().

I so appreciate Keenan Burton's recent words of humility. He knows that the playerscannot let up for a minute. Probably most of the players know the same. Celebrating last year's success should be a thing of the past. It's all about the FUTURE. Our road to a bowl game this season is obviously a difficult one, and we simply must be ready for the task.

Back to that schedule, based on this CBS poll two of the SEVEN rankedteams we playqualify as top5 teams, three as top 10 teams, and five astop 15 (and the final two of the sevenareranked at #20 and #21). I knowour basketball team was ranked the toughest in the nation. I'm certainly wondering howtheUK football team's schedule is ranked.

Of course, I must look at thebright side. UK has some chances to pull offsomehuge upsets at home this season. MayTHAThappen, and then we're all lookingDOWN at that preseason #25 ranking. :lol:

i agree. great recognition. i think we have a great opportunity this season. lot's of people with experience back and more depth all the time.
