It seems to me that the national media has focused more so on the highly rated Lady Vols team and their two consecutive losses, rather than giving credit and turning the attention to a very good UK Hoops team for what they accomplished in that game.Hopefully the pollsters recognize what this team has achieved so far this season by voting them into the top 25. I feel they are very deserving of such. The AP Poll's #21, #23, #24, #25 teams each lost.However, UK was not even listed in the AP Poll last week among the 20 teams listed as "others receiving votes." Sothey wouldhave to move up at least 20 positions in the eyes of the voters in order to crack the top 25!
While the win over the Lady Vols is being talked about statewide ( especially here on the KY/TN border ), I don't feel that the pollsters are readyto give UK Hoopsthe national recognition just yet !?!

On both the USA and AP polls the Lady Cats received 6 and 7 votes respectively (sp?) in the "Other receiving votes". If they aren't ranked after this week, I'll be very very surprised and this will just give the ladies something to really pump them up to prove to the pollstersThursday night when they play Georgia!

I would think they'll crack the top 25, but who knows?

We have two wins over ranked teams (UT #1 at the time and Florida #23 or #24 at the time and on the road) and we are in upper echelon of SEC, actually competing for the championship, so we certainly deserve it. My best guess is we will make it (barely) due to the exposure from UT game. Of course, if we don't show up ready to play in Athens on Thursday it will be a short stay. Georgia is tough.
