I had a request from someone who is doing some historical restoration of a video of a game from 1958 between Illinois and UK in Freedom Hall. He was interested in what the Freedom Hall floor looked like at the time, ie particularly the color scheme (if there was one) etc.

Also, although I'm 99.9% sure, can someone who has seen teams from this era firsthand confirm that UK's white jerseys were trimmed in blue. Was it the Kentucky blue or the darker blue ?

Any information is appreciated.

Thanks

Jon

Sorry Jon... I was born in '58 and don't believe I attended any games that year! ;)

Thanks for the information.

Can you comment on the color of the center circle etc. ? I recently saw a black and white photo of the floor from that time period and as I assumed, the floor itself is pretty much bare except for the center.

Thanks again,

Jon
