I recall the same thing when I first started coming to this site over a year ago. I'd forget it was .net and type .com, getting that "gator" site everytime. :P

I have tried before and the guy won't even talk to me about it. I think they like the accidental hits they get off of it.

That stupid site has been there for as long as I've been visiting WCN.

Hey Dan, is it possible for us to capture some of the bots that visit here daily and use them to attack that site?

Just wondering?

Those bots have magical powers... you can see them, but they are impossible to lay your hands on.

I have a couple questions....

1. What is a bot and is there reason to be afraid?
2. Why are bots visiting us?
3. Why isn't anybody doing anything about it?
4. Are they evil bots or friendly bots?
5.Should we form an alliance with another site so as tofend off the intruders?

1. If you can imagine what a tob looks like in the mirror you will have an idea of what a bot is. And yes, you should be afraid.

2. They like it here.

3. They keep the rats away.

4. It depends on what type of cologne you wear.

5. We have already contacted NASA.com but we have not heard back from them yet.

GoDaddy would have already sent a couple of renewal notices and will be sending them more frequently as the expiration date approaches without renewal. The domain name could be put on a watch and pickup list. In that case, if the guy flubbed up and didn't renew, the domain could be picked up automatically.
