Brian, Cleveland: Do you think the Billy Donovan situation is a major distraction for Florida? If so how much?

http://assets.espn.go.com/i/sn2.gifJay Bilas: (4:18 PM ET ) It is a distraction, but not a problem. Everyone seems to have an opinion on whether he will go to UK or not, whether he should consider it or not, and who knows more about it than the next guy. All I know is, until Donovan takes himself out of consideration for the job, you have to accept the speculation. Nothing surprises me anymore, and I wouldn't be surprised to see Donovan go to UK. I would also be pleased for him if he stayed. He is one of the best coaches in the game, and putting himself in elite company in basketball history.

"I would also be pleased for him if he stayed."

Then canwe take from that he would be displeased for him if he comes to UK?

Nah, the also would lead me to believe that he is happy for him regardless and takes the interest from UK as a sign of his great success. Of course, I like Bilas and this is what I want to believe.

Though he has roots at Duke, I usually find Jay Bilas to be one of the more reasonable analysts at ESPN.

Bilas has come out and stated he likes UK. In fact, his niece is attending UK right now.

Bilas is my favorite dookie...wait...hes the only dookie I like...does that count? Seriously, I do like Bilas, he's very objective, a real rarity among the talking heads.

ANYONE from Duke, UNC, the SEC, Indiana, Louisville etc etc wants Billy to stay as far away from the UK job as possible. UNC would see our all-time wins increase versus shrink, Indiana would continue to get busted by us, Duke would lose ground and the entire SEC would have to forget even coming to Atlanta in March.
