Just pondering, considering we have heard from Mr. Meeks several days ago about our favorite player's intentions at the moment, the fact that he took the time to post on this site makes me even more curious. I wonder how often and how many parents/relatives of our current players as well as the future recruits, visit this site and read all of the different posts. If I was a parent with any interest in my son, I would constantly be looking up the things that he may take part in or be interested in. I would most likely find sites like WCN to stay abreast of all the current topics and feelings of everyone. It would be almost a hobby to visit this place just to read what people have to say about my proud son. (I don't really have a child yet).

I'm sure our negativity at times could be heartbreaking, but hopefully that doesn't find the eyes of viewers that have more than a love of the team/school/tradition at stake. At the other end though, I hope good people like Jodie's dad can see all the awesome stuff we say about his son and how we all love his heart and effort, not to mention pure talent.

Anyways, didn't have anything else to talk about so I figured I'd get my UK fix with a little off-topic post. Cheers to all of you in blue at this EDGY, Thrilling, Scary, Exciting, Nervous, and even in-patient time.

Soon...our hours of posting and reading every possible site known for information will be soon answered with what we have all been waiting for...A COACH!

I am very good friends with a man whose son plays football and went thru the recruitment process some years ago. One day after a football game, he began to talk about these message boards.

The kids and their parents do read some, maybe all, of the boards. Before his friend decided on college, they did read several boards when he was considering school at. For them, they wanted to know the enviroment that he was getting himself into. For what it's worth, he did not come to UK.

Thanks for the insight. To bad we can't hide all the crazy posts from the potential recruits and show them all the good stuff, haha.
