North-South Cage Classic

A few years ago I ran across some programs from the "North-South Cage Classic" which was a high school all-star game held in Murray Kentucky in the late 40's to mid-50's.

I didn't have everything I wanted, but recently got the missing pieces and went ahead and put a web page together which talks about it, and provides the rosters and links to the boxscores from these games. There were a number of future Kentucky players on these squads, along with other outstanding players from around the nation.

I was wondering if anyone is familiar with this classic and can tell me a few things:

1.) were there any other black players (besides Fred LaCour) invited to the event ? I didn't notice any but I'm not familiar with all these players and don't have all the programs.
2.) did the event go past the 1956 game or did it end there. If so, why ?
3.) what were the college choices of some of the players on the 1956 roster ?
4.) when did Chuck Taylor start naming high school
all-american teams ? I believe he started naming collegiate all-american teams in 1932 but am not sure about high school.
