Like everyone, I have been reading and watching every article/interview available. Billy Donovan is a weird guy. Maybe it's his intense Northern personality or his amphetamine-like mannerisms that bother me. He is a character for sure. That's all.

Seems like a fairly normal guy to me. Can you give some examples?

I guess I've just missed most of his "weird" moments then. Care to share some, lol?

I agree; I don't think the guy ever really lets his guard down. As a UK fan during this search proccess, that is a bit unnerving, but as a UF fan, you have to love it. I think we will like that focus if he coaches here. ;)

Billy is what this program needs, the big evil opposite of the seemingly unfocused Tubby.

Billy Donovan is solid. I'll stick by that even if he turns down the UK job.
The guy loves basketball and why not. He practiced long hours as a youngster. His dad coached him early. He was a key to Providence's Final Four run when he played. He spent a year on the Knicks' pro roster. He served his apprenticeship under another head coach. He was a decent head coach at Marshall. He was a decent head coach at Florida early in his 11 years as their head coach, and then turned it up to the point of domination the last couple of years. His family has surrounded him in Florida and he has taken root.
It would have been nice for tcfebuk to take roots in Lexington, but he was a flirt with the bigs. He put out little capilaries, not roots. He went, failed, and returned to coach our despised little brother's team. The guy was not about to take roots, prior to losing face with the Celtics. He went with his own training wheels to Boston. He has made BIG BUCKS! He mocked the UK program and fans. He will never be #1 in Kentucky.
Billy Donovan could immeditely assume the No. 1 status and begin a tremendous love affair with the Commonwealth. I'm praying that he returns and guides UK's Basketball Wildcats.

A weird dude? I'd take a martian with a Hitler mustache who dressed in drag, if he coached an up tempo style, landed the big recruits, and went deep in the tourney

Yeah, me too. I don't care if the basketball team is coached by an 8 year old girl... as long as we are competing at the highest levels.

Weird? No.
Could he be Eddie Munsters long-lost twin brother? Yes. ;)
