Doesn't want him!

Florida coach Billy Donovan has been linked in some quarters to the Miami Heat, but Shaquille O'Neal is playing next season and doesn't want any part of a college coach, even someone with Donovan's track record. So you can forget Donovan moving from Florida to the Heat.

Shaq usually gets what he wants (trades, head coaches, etc.), so I am glad that this rumor has taken a bit of a "hit".

The rumorsI have heard were that Memphis, not Miami, were interested in Donovan.

The force on that team is no longer named Shaq. The guy they want to accommodate is named Wade. Better ask him what he wants!

agreed ... Wade's opinion is clearly more important than a typical comment from the loose canon that Shaq has become

I've only heard this from Vitale.

I wish he would come out and request Crean. That would kill two birds with one stone as far as I'm concerned. :thumbup

Shaq will always have some kind of pull, no matter what his stats are, and no matter how many years he has left.

clearly. he's the most dominant player of our (actually i better say mygeneration as a caveat) generation......BUT wade's the new dog on the block....and would command the most attention from heat management

--- nonetheless i agree with the above post....this rumor is unsubstantiated.....in my opinion its either lexington or gainesville for billy

That's a whole lot of weighing in. Probably the most in the NBA.

I doubt Riley would screw over his alma mater like that, trying to get a coach that we're going after.

Just my thoughts.
