ATLANTA - Creighton's Dana Altman has accepted the Arkansas job and will be introduced at a 5 p.m. ET news conference this afternoon, according to multiple sources close to the situation. Altman, 48, has built a power at Creighton for the past 13 seasons. He led the Bluejays to a 260-141 mark in his tenure. Creighton lost to Nevada in the first round of the NCAA tournament this past season.

Altman replaces Stan Heath, who was fired after five seasons and a 82-71 record.

Altman will have a talented team that could be the favorite to win the SEC west -- if all of the Razorbacks key players don't transfer. Freshman Patrick Beverley, the team's leading scorer, has been rumored to be looking to leave.

I think he is a very solid coach... Should be good for Arkansas.

That's two open jobs filled (MI, AR) and neither took one of our candidates off the board.

That leaves IA. None of our top names have been linked to the Hawkeyes as far as I can tell.

So again, despite what some coaches have agreed to in principal with their existing schools, none of UK's top candidates are off the table. Same list today as it was when Tubby left.

No matter what happens with Billy Donovon, UK is going to get an excellent coach. I'm still fired-up over this and can't wait to see what happens.

Rumors of Calipari to AR were out there, so I'm glad they didn't get him.
