i keep seeing Tuesday mentioned in these rumors......

if people are geniuinely being told an announcement will come tuesday i don't see how it's donovan. i mean let's be realistic here. that would mean he would win/lose tonight. hop on a jet and hold a presser. donovan is not that kind of person. he would not just leave his players during a celebration or mourning (can't think of a better word :blush:). i just don't see the post game interview going...."hey billy, you just won back to back titles. whadda you gonna do next????"......"i'm going to kentucky!"

i mean come on. this would mean that he's thumbing his nose @ all the people in UF. because he would be skipping out on any kind of victory celebration. i could be wrong and will be happy to eat some crow. i just can't see tuesday being the day he announces.

I agree with you here matt; that's the reason I say if he's coming the press conference will be Wednesday at 5 p.m.or maybe even later in the week.

I keep seeing thursday or friday which would indicate good news. For what is worth, Tom Leach thinks Billy D is going to be the next UK coach.

It would be highly unlikely Billy would take the UK job without coming up and touring again and of course having a one-on-one with Mitch and UK's admin.

I'm with you all saying that anything before friday would be someone else. I heard on Whas radio today that the celebrations are scheduled for friday. I don't think he would announce before that. Anyone know any history on this subject? Have coaches ever done this before? I could see it happening though, since recruiting is an issue of a timely matter right now.

I am beginning to think, though, that he has already agreed in principle, it's not a money issue (thereby negating whatever floridas counter will be), and PP and Jai have been contacted along with possibly Nick Calathes, and recruiting is not an issue. That is why he won't mind waiting til Friday or Saturday. *Fingers Crossed*
