i said before i never believed billy d would be here. but, i also mentioned how billy d turning down UK might be a good thing for UK fans. a lot of people have to feel pretty goofy right now and deservedly so. it wasn't so much this site as it was TCP. but, i'm hoping most of these posters realize how foolish they made the UK basketball fan base look. it's no wonder the media thinks our fan base is crazy.

i for one will be fully supportive of our next coach. i respect billy's decision and still respect the job he's done. i'm disappointed he wasn't willing to be the next UK coach. however, UK basketball will survive and thrive under the next coach. you won't see me bashing mitch barnhart, lee todd, or any other UK admin.

I thought our chances of landing Billy were getting smaller and smaller every day. Something just didn't feel "right" about the whole thing. I agree, I won't be bashing Mitch. For anyone who does, I just can't understand why. He did nothing wrong during this process, he has been very professional. It's kinda hard to change the mind of a man who is happy where he is at. But Jeremy Foley blindsided Mitch before the process even began, not anything he would have been able to stop.

I am now leaning towards Gillispie but am warming up to Barnes.

Like you, I had never quite believed that Coach Donovan would be here. Like you, I will be fully supportive of whoever becomes our next coach. Like you, I respect Donovan's decision and am at least thankful he didn't wait any longer to make that decision.Like you, I won't be bashing Mitch Barnhart or any other UK administrator, although I suspect that bashing to occur as we humansoften tend to need to blame someonewhen things don't turn out as we want.Like many other UK fans, I'll just continue to hope that the right man does take the job.
