I listened to the entire game on the radio. Now, I realize no one wants a "moral victory" as opposed to a real one, but I have to say there for a while I thought the NCAA record for combined threes in a game was going to be shattered. The Cardswere matching 'Nova shot for shot there for a while. They were never able to pull away to gain a comfortable advantage, and were it not for errors that I think can mostly be attributed to freshman inexperience, things might have been different. In the end, Villanova's poise and execution proved to be too much. That being said, if the Cards keep shooting like that and if they can tweak a few things here or there, it might get interesting down the stretch for you all. Seriously, you guys were just a play or two away from winning that game last night. I think it bodes well for the future, if not this season, certainly going into next season. Pretty decent performance, all things considered. :thumbup

I watched the game. I have to admit that it was very entertaining, and the Cards played a good game. The first half was unreal. It was one 3-pointer after another. At one point, my husband and I were counting consecutive treys and the shooting % for both teams had to be at least 65%.
We also watched the LSU women. These girls are good, real good.

Pitino said after the game that it was under the basket in-bounds plays that killed UofL. He said they gave up 10 or 12 points because they weren't fighting over screens. I caught the tail-end of the stat breakdown, and when I heard UofL's three point shooting percentage, I was shocked that they had lost. Especially considering the pre-game was chock full of callers blasting UofL's shooting. (One caller actually ripped Pitino for not recruiting Lofton. Sound familiar? :D)
Pitino also said that Notre Dame was "the hardest team to guard in America." This is a team who has one Big East win on its resume.

LOL! Yeah I heard that too, but I'm not taking Notre Dame for granted. They've lost to Villanova by two, Georgetown by three, Marquette by two, and Pitt by 3. Sounds like a familiar team.

ND is a lot like us, they can't close the deal, they have lost 6 games in the BE all by less than 6 pts and moston the last shot. Good teams find a way to win those games. UofL and ND are not good teams.
