Mr Meeks - how are the players doing? Are they upset about Donovan? Is there a certain coach that they want?

Thanks

It'd be great to learn what the players are thinking, though it might not be wise for them to speak out at this point.

Not sure I can speak for the players. I can tell you they had better be going to class and hitting the gym to get ready for next year. As sure as the sky is blue, UK will have a good coach and an even better future. Let's just see what happens.

Another gem of wisdom. I wish we could impart your attitude to a few UK fans.

My two UK sons have a tough enough time staying on task and they don't have this coach turmoil hanging directly over their heads.

Thank you, Mr. Meeks. I'm obviously reading this response this Friday night AFTER the announcement. Too, I think we have more than a "good" coach :Dand also see "an even better future." I think you already know how all of us feel about Jodie's role in that bright future. :)

I am thankful we now have a coach. Hopefully, he will see that players are indeed going to class AND "hitting the gym to get ready for next year." I only wish that YOU could have been in charge during this time between coaches. How well you have raised Jodie means, I suspect, thatwe would not need to worry muchabout either of those areas with any of the players if that were the case.:)

Thanks for stopping by again Mr Meeks. No more than 14 hours later, your words rang true and UK landed their coach. As you can tell by looking at 99% of the threads and posts, we are very happy to have Billy G at UK. Here's to a productive off season, both on and off the court. I know Jodie and the other guys will be working hard! :wildcatface
