:questionScenario:
Team A shoots the ball, it hits the rim and instead of grabbing the ball a player from Team A slaps the ball into backcourt where another player from Team A picks up the ball. During this whole sequence, no player from Team B touched the ball.
Is that over and back?

Great question Larry. The answer is no. The key to this play is there is a shot. Team control ends when the shot is released, and because neither teamestablished possession, when the ball goes into back court, it's anybody's ball. One thing to remember, if team A fumbles the ball or it's slapped during a pass, they continue to have team control and this senario would be over and back.

Thanks for the answer, lighthouse. I knew the refs got it right in the game I was watching because, as you know, I'm always in the ref's corner when questionable calls come up. ;)
