With the conference being a little bit down next year, how many wins do you think we can get? I see Florida being way down, Tennessee being about the same, South Carolina still reeling, UGA being about the same, and Vanderbilt coming back to earth. In the east, Icould see us going 7-10. I know that sounds crazy with our lineup, but I think it is completly plausible.
In the west, I see Alabama being about the same, Mississippi State improving, Ole Miss being better, LSU being down, Auburn being better, and Arkansas being an unknown due to possible transfers/coaching changes. I think the west will be tough next year, and I could easily see us going 3-3 next year on that side of the conference.
This would put us at a conference record of 10-6.
What does everyone think?

Hard to say until the roster's set.
If it stays as it is, I can see us anywhere from 8-8 to 10-6.
If we add some combination of Jordan, Patterson, and Lucas...who knows. We'll be talented enough, if that happens, to get 11 or 12 wins in conference.
One thing's clear: Tennessee and Mississippi State look like the cream of the crop in our league. On paper, anyway.

I agree. I think that Alabama and Ole Miss will be two of the better teams in the conference next year as well. They both had good young teams last year, with a lot coming back.

Will's right. We've got three open roster spots to fill before we can really get a feel for next year's team.
My guess is that those spots will be taken by Lucas, Pettigrew, and a mystery big man.
If that's the case, I'll guess 10-6 at worse. That should be good enough to get a first round bye in the SEC tournament.
We're gonna pound Florida next year. Twice, even. :thumbup

I think even with the current roster we go10-6... Perhaps I should have prefaced my post with that.
I could see Florida being pretty far down next year. I have not seen such a huge drop off after a championship in a long time. It is hard to think about their six best players not being on the team next year!

I hope we can rise up for that first meeting in Gainesville. I have no doubts we take them in Lexington at the end.
I say Billy C comes out blazing. Makes a huge splash. 10 - 6 sounds good to me.
Do you think in the East its...
1.) Tenn
2.) Kentucky
3.) Florida

I think that you have to put UGA up there somewhere. I could easily see UT at #1, and UGA, UK or UF at #2.

I think this is UT's year but a Patterson/Lucas combo at either UK or UF could make things interesting.

I look for UK to finish at 11-5 in the SEC. This team has talent and it will have some solid seniors who can score th rock as well. I really think we will be a better team next year. I think the surprise player of the year will be Jared Carter. I bet he comes up averaging around 12 ppg, 7 rpg, and 2.5 bpg. He is an athletic guy who can run the floor and has way more bounce than Randolph Morris. His long arms will wreak havoc on players trying to driv the lane and get near the rim. He will be solid.
I think Crawford comes back as our leading scorer and reall thrives under BG. I look for him to net about 16.5 ppg, with Meeks second a 14 ppg.
Throw in Jai Lucas running the whole show and this team will be a force. I truly believe this team can compete for an SEC title next year.
Our biggest threats will be Tennessee and Georgia in the East and Mississppi State and Alabama in the West.
I am getting pumped for next year already. Does anybody know when the schedules are released for next year?

We only play these teams once, a total of 6 games and I see us going 3-3
wins
Alabama, home
Auburn, away
Arkansas, home
Loss
LSU, away
OLE MISS, home
Miss. St. away
