For those that don't keep up with player ratings out of high school, this is what next years team will look like on paper. Of course we have seen them play and have an idea of what they can and can't do, but with a new coach coming in it kind of changes things and what we will now get out of different players.
5 stars
Joe Crawford
4 stars
Jodie Meeks
Derrick Jasper
Perry Stevenson
The rest are 3 stars or less.
Possible Recruits
Patrick Patterson- 5 star
Jai Lucas- 4 star
Anthony McClain- 4 star
We won't have an extreme amount of talent, but we'll still be able to put a solid team on the floor everynight.

I'm fine with that list, actually. Now let's just hope, of course, that we have at one or two of those last three names on the roster. :)Last year's class was a quite talented one. Now may we follow it with another talented one, of course. By the way, there are plenty of very talented players who do not have four or five stasr after their names. That is important for us fansto remember. :)

I'm not that big a believer in stars (next to a players name), I know that athleticism does make a difference....But I like Bradleys game, And I wonder how many stars Lofton had. I think I would pick Heart and Desire (Chuck Hayes) over stars everyday.

I am not sure where you got your info from but, Ramel Bradley and Jared Carter were also 4-star recruits.

His info came from Rivals. Bradley was a 3 star on their rankings.

OK, I see. But being the optimist that I am, I will stick with the four-star ratings. It makes it easier to sleep at night....lol.....just kidding.....or am I?

Scout.com has AJ Stewart listed as a 4-star guy as well. I dont like to buy too much into the ranking that these places give these guys though.
But then I will say it again. I really, really like AJ. I think he will be a good one for sure.
Star ranking appears to be more relevant and accurate in basketball as opposed to football mainly due to the number of players involved.

I got them from Rivals, Scout and Rivals rankings differ a little. And yeah sometimes three star guys turn out great like Chris Lofton and Acie Law.

To me its not about 5 star, 4 star, or whatever. But, its about what players will play the best in the positions we need them in. I dont know if they were 5 star, 4star or what but I really liked chuck and daniels when they were here, and dont really remember a lot of national hype. I know they were a special class, but the unforgettables werent in this league at all, except for Mashburn, and they played pretty well together. So, I guess it boils down to players knowing their role and playing it well. And playing as a team, put players in the bestposition to excel. I think if DJ will look for his shot, Carter comes back to the player that looked pretty good as a freshman, Bradley plays under control, and we get someone who can play at the 4 we'll be good.Plus, I think the team will want to prove themselvesfor the new coach. That is a lot of IFS.I like our potential though
