Keep us posted on what he says please. I am not going to be able to play it. I am sure it will be more of the same, but I would still love to read what he has to say.

OKay, here's a synopsis of what Coach G had to say:
Said the Kentucky job was once in a lifetime and too good to turn down even though he had a good thing at A & M.
Said he had agreed upon the details of a contract extension at A & M weeks ago, but his attorneywas not presented with the actual contract until Wednesday of last week. He said the contract was never signed.
He thinks that athletes should be allowed "out" of a letter of intent without losing a year of eligibility if the coach that recruited them leaves the school. (Right now, the LOI binds them to the school even if the coach leaves. The school has to agree to let the athlete leave in order to avoid losing eligibility.)
He said he thinks the expectations at Kentucky are a positive, not a negative.
Nothing really new. But, hey, it was airtime for our new coach and the program.

He really seems to understand that free publicity like that will do nothing but help his recruiting and the program over all... I love that about him!

Good media attention for a change. The program and fans have been taking a beating for a couple of weeks in the media. 'Bout time we got some good out of it.

Perhaps he is lobbying for his recruit, Jordan in his LOI statement.

I like the thing he said about kids choosing a coach that can help them get ready for the next level.
Glad he sees this and can use it as a tool.
