I just come from the scrapbook store. I only spent $14.06 this time. ( I put something back right before check-out:))

Does anybody here scrapbook? I just think they make our photos so interesting. I made my mom and dad one for their 50th anniversary but I have to add a lot more to it. They showed everyone and it seemed to be a hit.

I am also in the process of making one for one of the carriers at work who is about to retire. The last guy that retired really appreciated his so I got to do this. It is hard to find retirement stickers and stuff.

Does anyone know of online sources for scrapbookers? Oh, don't ask me what I have spent on ebay.

I've been doing it for about 5 years now. I have one of my college years, one of my childhood, one of my wedding, one of my heritage, and one for my son. I haven't really done alot of online purchases. When I lived in Louisville I loved the Chocolate Scrapbook store (I think that was the name of it). There was also a small one over on Dixie Highway not too far from the Snyder (if I remembermy names correctly).

That has page titles for aging and retirement.
I also use the Two Peas website for titles.

Thanks. The Chocolate Scrapbook is the store I was talking about that I had just got home from. I tell you it costs me a fortune to make these scrapbooks for other people because I see stuff that I buy for myself.

When was the last time you were there? They are twice as big now. They took the store next door. They have tables set up where people just come in and do pages when they want. There were two ladies there when I was shopping. They have tons of different papers and other items. I don't know about the place on Dixie. There was a store in Middletown but I think it closed before I ever got there. Dee's has a lot of scrapbook materials too. I went there to buy beads before when Kendall and I were into making bracelets. Needless to say, I spent a dollar or two.

I moved from Louisville in 2003 so I haven't been back since. I think I've dropped legendary amounts of money there. In one trip I spent over $300...and went back later that day for more. I've gotten better since I got married but there's no telling how much I've spent on scrapbooking.

You'd think a city the size of Nashville would have a decent store or two but they don't. I have to go to Brentwood or Lebanon to get "halfway" decent stores.

I would do more if I could get myself organized. Is your stuff together? I don't know where half my stuff is. I have finally started working on my UK pictures. I have just scratched the surface there.

Girllll, I am all over scrapbooking! It consumed my life a about a year ago so I am slowing on the recovery road to being normal again. I am behnd on getting my pictures developed (imagine that?! ha!) but I think I am b/c I feel like I need to scrapbook them as soon as I get them back. :)

I haven't been but I hear that Hobby Lobby (on Outer Loop) is a great place for things. Rumor has it, they have a UK scrapbook! I want it!!

I used to only use Creative Memories items but I too, LOVE the Chocolate Scrapbook store! I was going to walk over there last night as I wanted for my pizza from Pizza Hut but theywere closed. Good thing! :D

The Creative Memories gets expensive and once it is on the page it is stuck. I do like the versatility of being able to slip sheets in and out of the top-loading books. My first scrapbook is so unorganized. I mean once you have glued the stuff down in the creative memory books whats on the back stays on the back. You can't move it to another place in the book. Now I go with the top loading albums.

I'm not wild about Creative Memories at all. The only thing I like are their tools like the tape runner, circle cutters, and corner cutters. I received two of the CM books as presents and lots of the stickers and accessories as wedding and baby gifts. Honestly, I sold most of it on ebay and kept the books. I prefer my top loading books. The CM pages are a pain because they don't fit the 12x12 pages.

Oh boy! Scrapbooking is my passion. I took it up about 4 years ago right after my daughter was born. When we lived in VA, they had a store called Scrapadoodles. I spent tons of money in that place (LOL). Michaels, and Hobby Lobby are also very good places to buy Scrapbooking items. I've so far made a scrapbook from my childhood, a wedding book of mine and Tony's wedding, a vacation book,a christmas book, andI've made our daughter a baby book, a toddler book, and I'm just starting her preschool book. I've never shopped online for scrapbooking items, butI've come across plenty of online stores. You can check out this link, they have lots of links to online scrapbooking stores.

Well, I just got home from the SuperWalmart. I needed some photo paper to print off some things for this retirement scrapbook. Of course I had to go ahead and buy the scrapbook there too. Not looking for an expensive one. Well, of couse, I can never find my adhesive so I had to get another one. Might as well get a few groceries too.....$157 and some change and I am home...lol

I think it is great you are doing this for a retireing coworker. I don't know what scrapbooking is. I have zero creativeness in this body.

Girl, we ate some of that merchandise for supper last night:)No putting that back. You have looked at my wildcat scrapbook. Well, have you ever been to a second hand store and seen somebody's personal photo albums in there? I have always thought what a shame. But when you scrapbook, you try to preserve those memories with stories and hopefully someone will hang on to them once you're gone.

I need to have a get together with some scrappers to unload some of the stuff I won't use and make myself do some more pages.

I am on vacation this week and am scrapbooking crazy...lol. I have stuff all over my living room. Holly the housekeeper, I am not! This is fun. I can't wait to take the scrapbook to the retirement dinner.

Have any of you taken any of the classes at the Chocolate Scrapbook?
