Just in case you didn't know Rick UK got a recruit of their own yesterday and ours didn't have to play pick up against his own future team mates to earn his spot.

Just in case you didn't know Rick UK got a recruit of their own yesterday and ours didn't have to play pick up against his own future team mates to earn his spot.

Just in case you didn't know Rick UK got a recruit of their own yesterday and ours didn't have to play pick up against his own future team mates to earn his spot.Ul got a signed letter of intent. Uk got a verbal pledge from a Sophomore in High Schiool. Pitino tried that with Martez Walker as a Sophomore when he was rated top 5. Two years later Walker had slipped so far Pitino was no longer interested.

In two years Villiano(sp?) could be far and away the best player in the nation. He could also slide out of the top 100 by then. It is just a little early to count your chickens on that one.

UK beat UL worse in Lexington( softball)

UK coach did not leave for greener pastures like UL coach did ( the SEC)

UK got a BIG recruit Yesterday

UK has won 6 out of the last 7 in baseball

You can down play him all you want but you know what you are getting from Knowles which is a player that had to try out to make the team. With our recruit he could be best player in the nation by they time he comes or he might not but atleast you have a commitment froma top 15 soph in the nation and a top five player at his postion.

I am more than pleased with Knowles signing for UL though. I think he is the first Clay County player to EVER sign with UL. Part of UK's ( and UL's) problems have been not enough kids from the state on the team. It kills me to see a kid like Lofton lighting it up at UT.

I would rather have a few players from in-state on the team any day. These kind of kids know what wearing the jersey is all about. You don't need five McDonald's All-Americans to win the tourney. You need a TEAM where players understand their roles.

The kid uk got the verbal from is a great player no doubt, but hereare some other problems with taking a verbal from akid that will only be ajr next season. You really limit yourself to getting a great PG in the next class and then if he changes his mind you missed out on kids from both classes.If it works out, great but if not your left scrambling lookingat leftovers.
