One of my favorite writers died recently. So it goes.

From the last thing Vonnegut wrote:

"When the last living thing
has died on account of us,
how poetical it would be
if Earth could say,
in a voice floating up
perhaps
from the floor
of the Grand Canyon,
“It is done.”
People did not like it here."

Oh My, I had not heard. Being in college in the late sixties early seventies, Mr. Vonnegut certainly was a favorite of mine.

RIP Kurt.

Honk if you love Bokanan

Everything is beautiful, and nothing hurts.

The notice of his death took me by surprise. The obit made it sound semi-accidental.

Reading Vonnegut made a difference in how I saw the world. I liked his son, Mark's book "The Eden Express" v much also. Read it more than once.

When my older son was 16 he had a publishing company called Dresden Records inspired by Slaughterhouse Five
