We all know Jai is taking a trip to the University of Florida this weekend. Anybody think Billy D has some tricks up his sleeve in order to convince Jai to be a Gator? I am extremely nervous about this visit. I think Billy D is going to try to blow him away and get him to commit before he leaves the state. We shall see.

Personally, I think 90% of it rests on whether or not T. Green comes back. It seems like Patterson is a Florida lean and Jai wants to play with Patterson so there's some tug-o-war going on. Just my two cents.

Maybe he'll let him hold the last two championship trophies, and ask him how he likes them?

He'll probably come out and meet him in his board shorts. Say he just go back from the beach and express how relaxing it was.

He'll them proceed to show him around the campus. Bring him to the O'Connell Center and show him the Swamp. Jai will marvel at how great the campus is and marvel at all the women walking around.

He then may have lunch with him on the lawn of the Swamp restaurant. You know, shoot the breeze, talk about the future. He'll use that sly New Yorker accent to try and coaze him into coming to play basketball at the University of Florida.

Jai will be very impressed with Gainesville andcould very well call it his home for the next 4 years.

That's assuming that we get another chance to see him. Anybody else as nervous as me about this visit?

Preferably before Jai leaves Texas.

I could see him getting to Gainesville and a tropical storm hitting, grounding him at UF for a few more days. And, Billy Donovan saves Jai's life or Jai's father's life by braving the elements. Donovan the hero!!!

Man, that would suck!!

Seriously, I think Green should return to UF. He is not ready for the NBA.

I don't think he's ready now, but I'm not sure that means he should return. I'm not really sure how much better he can get. His decisionmaking could stand to improve, so I guess another year would benefit that (as would a fatter stat sheet), but as far as size and athleticism go, he's really limited NBA wise.

Regardless, he doesn't really have anything to lose by declaring now and checking out his spot in the predraft camps. With his limitations, I think if he hears he can make mid second round or better, he should go.

I need to look at a map again. I do not think Gainesville is anywhere near a beach. Unless they have beaches at swamps in which case I am not going near them.

Donovan can probably get a plane, but it is a 3 hour or so driveto the beach, not exactly right next door. Frankly I have always found Gainesville to be a pretty dull place. It is out in the middle of nowhere with nothing really to do. Maybe that is just me. Also, while not bad in the winter, it is miserable in the summer with ungodly humidity. To each there own, but I would take Lexington over Gainesville every day and twice on Sundays.

Thanks. That was sort of my point. To me, once you get away from the beaches in Florida, it is an ungodly place to be from April to October.
