I just went down the Rivals list to find the top 25 "available" 2008 recruits and to see what schools they listed. Of the top 25 available, UK was listed by only 5 of them as a possible choice. Most were of medium interest.
As hard as Coach Gilispie is working I am sure that some of those players now have UK among their schools of interest though. And, I feel that UK will be listed by many more players in the 2009 class.
Can anyone remember when a top 25, top 32 in this case since 7 have signed or commited, had so few players listing UK as a possible choice? I loved Tubby the man, but this is evidence, IMO, of just how poor a job he and the staff were doing on the recruiting front.
