The Texas A&M basketball program will keep its top signee under former head coach Billy Gillispie.
Seven-footer DeAndre Jordan, from Christian Life Academy in Houston, tells FOX 26 Sports he met with new Aggie head coach Mark Turgeon for 90 minutes Sunday afternoon.
"I've decided I am going to stay at Texas A&M next year and honor my committment and I will be there June 1st for summer school, " Jordan said in an interview with FOX 26 Sports.
Sorry...I know this is recruiting news, but big news for UK so close it or move it if you wish. :thumbup

You know this kid Jordan seems like a really good kid. It would have been GREAT to have him, but, I wish nothing but the best for him..........Gillispie did the honorable thing by not "re-recruiting" him and Jordan did the honorable thing by honoring his committment to A&M.
I think he may regret it in the long run, but, UK will be just fine.

It is true. Oh well. Moving on. Let's hope we can get Jai and Patrick Patterson. We need PP the most IMO. I think Jasper can handle the point farely well so it isn't that bad. However, we are very thin at the forward positions and need some presence in the middle considering that we are now hopeing Carter can hold down the fort in the paint.

Good decision on his part, classy gestures on Billy Clyde's part and good selling job on Turgeon's part. Lets keep the bad blood to a minimum and accentuate the positive!

I have yet to see any "bad blood" about this kid at all. How can there be? He honored his word to Texas A&M...absolutely nothing wrong with that...good for him.

I completely agree, and it also shows me that Billy Clyde is convinced he can bring in players of this caliber year in and year out
