Who hasn't gotten caught up in all the hype and excitement of our new coach ?

Which one of us hasn't had visions of old glory past in our near future ?

Whom among you hasn't shivered with excitement over the current recruiting ?

To return us to our proper status of Basketballs Elite will be 3 tedious steps.

Recruiting - Our cupboard isn't bare, tho it isn't full of our favorite commodity of 5 star recruits. Even "Coach" has said he is surprised with the talent we do have, that he will play a system best suited to their talent. I can honestly say that even if (god forbid)he is unable tosign any of these highly touted recruits that it wont be the end,tho I'm leery of next season. But I have faith that this step is more than covered in years to come.

Coaching- That our program has taken a huge shot in the armfrom his hiring is an understatement. His systems seems to work and he has shown the style of ball that recruits as well as we fans enjoy. BG players in the past have taken to learning, showing that he is indeed a teacher of the game. With players of the caliber we anticipate in the future the learning curve with be raised. He is "THE COACH".

Teamwork -Remember what Coach Pitino did in the past with rosters that were less than desirable talent wise. They played competitive andwith pride. Some of those players were our favorites, each made sacrifices for the good of the team. They were true teams that surprised us all. That said teams of less talent who play as a true team can and do have more success than that of a 5 star roster.

....... We aren't as bad off as we could be considering the recent past. The future looks bright because of the Coach and his methods. Recruiting will be fixed in the next 2 years. Don't be disappointed for the first year, use common sense not your heart to evaluate it. Remembering as you go aboutour first year under BGwhat he has walked into and tho he has preformed miracle's in other places, they were not the SEC where our conference is in itself the elite of them all. That like love, time heals all wounds. We just need to have patience and allow for some time.

Good things come to those who wait. There has never been a more true statement. I , for one will be cheering as loud and as hard as I ever have next season, no matter the outcome. One thing is for certain, Kentucky Basketball is on the map once again and that alone should put some fear into the likes of the Florida's, Ohio States and the others.. I am as giddy as a school girl over this hire Go Cats :wildcatface
