We will have info on the Lucas and Patterson visits tonight (Lucas being visited by the new assistant coach) and other tidbits. But for now, get excited. Tomorrow on the Sports Mob from 5-7 pm, we will be discussing UK sports, interviewing guests and who will be in studio? Oh yeah…..the Woo. And he will be taking calls…..it will be brilliant…

When I read it the first time (before you posting the link), I didn't read it "that way." I just got the idea that we get some news tomorrow--one way or another--rather than some hint of an impending L&P commitment.

Same here. In fact, I get the impression that they're saying "Be ready for tomorrow" because of the Woo's in-studio appearance. They're big Woo fans.

We might hear something from Lucas soon, but I don't expect any news out of the Patterson camp (does he have a camp?) for still some time. The way I understand it, he still has a couple of in-home visits coming his way.

The way I read it was that tomorrow would be a big day with The Mob........Woo would be there. I took the Lucas/Patterson thing as a tease.

Lucas stated after his visit to Florida he may be ready to make his decision next week after talking to PP. He also stated Donovan is going to Houston to visit him and his family- not good imo. I will not be surprised if Lucas and PP both end up at Florida as much as it pains me to say it.

It has been reported that two assistants were with Gillispie in West Virginia tonight. Not sure who they were, but I doubt if anyone was in Houston.

Good point True. I know Billy G will be very successful inrecruiting but he will have to pullout all the stops to get Lucas and PP here.

Cox was with Gillispie at the Patterson's. The other assistant, I forgot his name, met with Jai tonight. He has ties with the Lucas family, as he was an assistant on the OSU team when Jai's brother was a player.

You may be right, but still, the report is that there were two assistants with Gillispie in the Patterson home.

I'm not worried at all. The fact that we are even still able to get in the door is way more chance than I thought we'd have with these guys when Tubby left. I thought there was no way in hell that they'd come here, unless Billy D came here, which I thought there was only a slim chance of anyway. So any chance at all with them is all gravy to me. The fact that we're still in the hunt is good news.

Me, too, DCWildcat, FWIW. I think it's going to be MOST DIFFICULT for Coach Gillispie to pull it off. Having said that, I think he will be MOST SUCCESSFUL in recruiting here. Further, IF ONLY he had been able to be recruiting Patterson and Lucas to UK for the pastyear, I wouldfeel GREAT abouttheir already having beencommitted and signed to UK. He's at a huge disadvantage under the circumstances, though. If he pulls it off, he is UNREAL. :)

In regard to the separate locationof the assistants (oneto visit Patterson and one to visit Lucas), I hadread the same information. However, according to thearticle about Gillispie's visitwith Patterson, BOTH assistants were there with Gillispie.
