Mason coach says UK recruiting Miller hard

Wing Darius Miller is a "priority" in new Kentucky coach Billy Gillispie's recruiting efforts.

Gillispie is less sure about what to make of Kentucky Mr. Basketball Steffphon Pettigrew.

That's how UK's attempt to fill out its basketball roster for next season and into the future appeared yesterday.

Gillispie and newly announced assistant Jeremy Cox went to Maysville on Friday to watch Miller play in a pickup game. Miller, a 6-foot-7 junior, played well enough to cause Gillispie to re-affirm UK's interest in a conversation with Mason County Coach Chris O'Hearn.

One of the asst. coaches had told the Mason Co. HC that they were going to be living in his backyard for now on.... he wasn't kidding was he? :D

I love to hear this news. This is one Kentucky kid who I think has the talent and physique to make it at the next level. In addition, we all knowthat BG knows talent, and the fact that he expressed his great desire immediately is a good sign on the kid.
