I hope that Slick Rick and the Cards start out that high. With his typical weak schedule, they should still be in the top 10 when they come to Rupp and that will help our RPI and our position in the polls when we thump'em.

I am not surprised. Joe Lunardi has Louisville as a #1 seed and some are predicting them to win the national championship due to their late season stride, even though I think they are doing it to throw in the obligatory "dark horse." Either way, with so many questions on the NBA draft, it's a little pre-mature for anyone to make a Top 25 poll. But that's what they get paid to do, I guess.

I hate Duke, but they had a good freshman class last year and have a GREAT class coming in this year. I think they will be a 10-15 ranked team most of the year next year.

All in all, I think its a sad day when both UL and IU are ranked in the preseason top 25 and UK is nowhere to be found. All the more reason for our guys to be pumped and kick some butt next year.

Katz's is crazy. By the start of next season we will at least be in the top 15. I'm going with top 10 if we get lucas and patterson.

I look for Louisville and IU to be very deserving of some hype, especially UofL.

As for us, I can't see a ranking at this time. We were average and lost all of our experience up front along with possibly the best offensive center in the SEC.

Being upset about this is demanding writers/pundits to look at us as a fan but not only a fan but a very optimistic one.

True, but Katz is wildly inconsistent. For example, Georgetown is ranked 4 based on Hibbert and Green coming back, yet Florida is completely unranked based on their players leaving. There are a lot of kids that haven't signed with agents. He is basing the teams on what he thinks will be there. How does he know? And even if he did, he's an idiot and wouldn't know how to rank them.
